These terms govern your use of valhguard.com. They do not govern any engagement we carry out for you, which is always set out in a separate signed agreement. Where the two differ, that agreement wins.
valhguard.com is operated by Valhguard, a detection engineering practice based in Spain. Contact: contact@valhguard.com. Company registration details required by Article 10 of Ley 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) will be published in our Legal Notice on completion of incorporation, which is in progress.
Service descriptions, engagement models and turnaround times on this site are indicative. They are an invitation to discuss work, not a binding offer, and scope and price are agreed in writing for each engagement.
Technical writing published here, including blog posts, detection logic, queries and code, is general information about security techniques. It is not advice about your environment, and no client relationship is created by reading it.
You are welcome to use detection logic and queries we publish in your own defensive work, including commercially, with attribution. Descriptions of attacker techniques are published so that defenders can detect them. Using that material to attack systems you are not authorised to test is your responsibility and, in Spain, a criminal matter under Articles 197 bis and 264 of the Código Penal.
Text, design, branding and images on this site remain ours or our licensors’ and may not be republished wholesale without permission. Quoting with a link is fine.
Do not attempt to disrupt this site or gain access to parts of it that are not public, do not use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages, and do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others. If you find a security issue, tell us at contact@valhguard.com and we will work with you on it.
The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, and we may change or withdraw any part of it. Technical content is accurate to the best of our knowledge when published, and security techniques change. Test anything you take from here before relying on it in production. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or its content, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, which form part of these terms.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes fall to the courts of Spain, except that consumers keep any right they have to bring proceedings in the courts of their own place of residence. If a court finds any clause unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
We update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.
